Job Description

This is an advanced senior professional Building & Grounds position with administrative responsibility for the oversight of all PM staff, planning, design, RFP submittals, construction, maintenance, and operation of varied Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Building and Grounds facilities. Work involves responsibility for the department’s staff of Project Managers for planning, assigning and reviewing the work of vendors & staff. The emphasis of the work is in the development of policies, procedures & oversight to ensure success in the monitoring of the work of architectural and engineering consultants and contractors engaged in the design and construction of a variety smaller Tribal Wide maintenance, renovation & construction projects. Responsibilities include analyzing individual conditions/circumstances which arise on the projects, assisting staff with solving difficult or unusual problems. Work is reviewed for general adherence to established guidelines and procedures. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or similar area of specialty is required. A certification of FMP or PMP is required. A minimum of four (4) years progressively responsible experience in the Construction Management field is required. Professional Construction Management Certification is a plus. Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures and or field experience within the Construction management will be considered in place of a degree. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Project and/ or CADD software packages. Ability to travel across reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
