Job Description

The incumbent in this position performs skilled work supervising the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the Seminole Tribe of Florida Building & Grounds and facilities. The incumbent provides scope of work for any electrical solicitations, assigns and reviews the work of electricians and trades helpers performing electrical work and related duties in accordance with standard trade practices. Emphasis of the work is on providing technical direction to subordinates, planning work methods and procedures for small and large-scale projects, coordinating electrical work at a variety of geographically separated locations, and participating in electrical installation, modification and repair assignments. Ensures the maintenance of building permits or required documents to ensure compliance with established building department rules and regulations. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associates degree or certification from a instructional program or trade school is highly preferred. A minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in the electrical field and principles and practices of construction, and maintenance of facilities is required. Active and valid Professional State of Florida Electrical Contractors License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office packages. Possession of a valid FL Driver’s License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary is required. Must have own tools. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, evenings, weekends, holidays and have the ability to be on call.
