Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, installing, and repairing limited aspects of all fleet vehicles and related equipment belonging to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This role involves traveling to all reservations to receive, inspect, install ancillary equipment such as GPS, telematics, tags, and any other needed devices; monitoring and ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules and standards, coordinating needed maintenance and repairs with fleet maintenance vendors and/or Risk Management, etc. The individual also performs various administrative functions for maintaining accurate records of fleet assets in the fleet management system. The individual is responsible for coordinating the sale of assets with auction providers, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly prepared and ready for sale. In this role, the incumbent works closely with the Fleet Management Team to ensure compliance with fleet policies and procedures, assists in the development of reports, and supports decision-making processes related to the repair, replacement, and disposal of vehicles and equipment. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Automotive Mechanical/Electrical Certification is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in Automotive industry with hands-on experience, is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Working knowledge of vehicle mechanics, maintenance and repairs of vehicles, is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work outdoors is required. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
