Job Description

The Audio Engineer plays a vital technical role in the operation, maintenance, training, and quality control of all audio equipment owned by Seminole Media Productions (SMP), primarily housed within the SMP warehouse. This position is responsible for ensuring the peak performance, reliability, and longevity of a wide range of audio systems, including mixing consoles, microphones, signal processors, amplifiers, and recording/playback devices. This role is essential to maintaining the technical integrity of SMP’s audio production capabilities. In addition to warehouse-based responsibilities, the Audio Systems Engineer may also be deployed to support the setup and operation of audio systems during major events and productions. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in audio engineering, or live event production is required. Audio Technology or sound design certifications from Accredited Schools or Professional Audio Manufacturers is highly desired. Forklift certification is preferred. Prior experience working in major live event productions environments, working with D&B equipment is highly desired. Knowledge of professional audio systems, software and equipment, including but not limited to D&B and L’ Acoustic line array speaker systems and products, digital and analog format mixing consoles, and microphones is required. Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in dynamic environments. Demonstrate strong organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Excellent English oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Valid Florida Driver’s License required and able to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
