Job Description
This is a semi-skilled position located in the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Public Works Department. The incumbent in this position performs a variety of activities related to maintenance and repair of the water distribution system; including pumps, piping and structures. High School Diploma or G.E.D is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with drinking water distribution system is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to distribution systems is required. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and instruction manuals is required. Demonstrate ability to perform task with minimal supervision and direction from management. Ability to direct, operate and make maintenance repairs in all phases of the utility system is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position requires (must) to be on call 24 hours, seven (7) days per week, and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and on declared emergencies.
