Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Claims Management, including workers’ compensation claims, first party and third-party claims on all general liability and auto liability accidents, and commercial property claims. The individual evaluates and investigates claims, reviews and processes claims from initial phase to completion, recommends appropriate action, and maintains accurate case files. The individual serves as liaison between the insurance carriers, external auditors, and attorneys. Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field is required. A minimum of four (4) years of experience working in risk management, property insurance, property casualty or industrial safety with at least three (3) years of experience working in a leadership capacity is required. Ten (10) years of verifiable risk management experience, including adjusting claims, may substitute for the bachelor’s degree. Possession of State of Florida 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster’s License is required. Knowledge of tribal regulations and business commercial laws and regulations is highly desirable. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
